Cía Automoviliaria de Colombia

The only thing I know from this express company is form the photocopy of a cover, dated 3. July 1925 to Bogota. It bears no adhesive, cancelled on front with a round cachet... reading "Compania Automoviliaria, Agencia de Tunja". On reverse of that cover is apparently an other cachet, reading "Autobus 678".

No postage was paid to the government in this case which therefor infringed what had become, since about 1911, a government monopoly.

Perhaps this was why these carriers were not amongst those authorized, a year or two later, to issue their own adhesives to devote their surcharge, on the the hand it might have been absorbed by some other (bigger) company of carriers.
