It is a IMPERIAL AIRWAYS cover carried on the FIRST SERVICE TO EAST AFRICA

Alexandria - Egypt- Khartoum - Sudan

5-7 March 1931

 

Backstamped Khartoum 7.ll.31

This cover was carried by rail from Alexandria to Cairo. It left Cairo at 04.12 on 6 March and was carried by Argosy "City of Wellington'' G-EBOZ.

Captain J.S. Sheppard to Khartoum where it arrived on 8 March.
