Miscellaneous, Letterhead - Eastern Transport Company

Letterhead from the Eastern Transport Company dated 27 September 1926, addressed to  Tel-Aviv / Jaffa

The letterhead is inscribed "BEYROUT-BAGDAD-TEHERAN AUTOMOBILES" and indicates "TRANS DESERT MAIL SERVICE".

The Eastern Transport Company has been taken over by Nairn on 20 September 1926 (date when the new company was registered) and renamed to Nairn Eastern Transport Company Ltd. Interesting that already the Eastern Transport Company states that they transported mail thru the Syrian/Iraqi desert. Details of that are not known to me.
