Hillah

65 miles south of Baghdad West on the railway line from Baghdad West to Maqil

These photos I harvested some time ago from en online auction lot. The images were part of an old album from an Iraq traveller and were labelled as showing the Hillah railway station. If you see the surroundings it does not make you wonder why so little mail is known from these small stations.
