Furthermore, the official Polish postal publication No. 49/1925 indicates that mail for Iraq (Baghdad and Mosul) and Persia to be transported via the Overland Mail Beyrouth-Baghdad to be posted at Post Office Warsaw 1 where they will be send accumulated.

on the surcharge for letter items from Poland to Iraq and Persia, transported by car between Beirut (Beyrouth) - Baghdad, *)

Na mocy art. 17 ustawy z dnia 3 czerwca 1924 r, o poczcie, telegrafie i telefonie (Dz. U. R. P. Nr. 58, poz. 584) oraz art. 2 rozporządzenia Prezydenta Rzeczypospolitej z dnia 19 stycznia 1927 r. w sprawie ustanowienia urzędu Ministra Poczt i Telegrafów (Dz. U. R. P. Nr. 5, poZ. 26) zarządzam co następuje:

Pursuant to art. 17 of the Act of 3 June 1924, on post office, telegraph and telephone (Journal of Laws of Poland, P. P. No. 58, item 584) and Art. 2 of the Regulation of the President of the Republic of January 19, 1927 regarding the establishment of the office of the Minister of Posts and Telegraphs (Journal of Laws R. P. No. 5, item 26), I order the following:

§ 1. Za urzędowe i prywatne przesyłki listowe nadawane w Polsce da Iraku i Persji, które na zadanie nadawców maja być przewożone samochodami kursujacemi miedzy Bajrutem i Bagdadem, nadawcy winni uiszczać zgory oprócz normalnych taryfowych opłat pocztowych, następujące dopłaty:

§ 1. For official and private mail sent from Poland to Iraq and Persia, which at the request of the senders have to be transported by courier car between Beirut and Baghdad, the senders must pay in advance apart from normal customs mail fees the following surcharges:

za listy ― po 30 groszy za każde 20 gramów lub cześć tychże,

za kartki pocztowe ― po 20 groszy od pojedynczej kartki,

za inne przesyłki listowe ― po 10 groszy za każde 50 gramów lub cześć tychże

§ 2. Rozporządzenie niniejsze wchodzi w zycie z dniem ogłoszenia i obowiązuje na całym obszarze Rzeczypospolitytej.

For postcards: 20 groszy for each individual card,

For other mail packages: 10 groszy for every 50 grams or part thereof.

§ 2. Current regulations go into effect on the day of posting and throughout the entire Republic.

Przepisy wykonawcze do rozporządzenia Ministra Poczt i Telegrafów z dnia 1 lutego 1927 r. w sprawie dopłaty za przesyłki listowe z Polski do Iraku i Persji, przewożone samochodami na przestrzeni Bajrut ― Bagdad.

Executive provisions to the regulations of the Ministry of Posts and Telegraphs on the 1st of February 1927 in regards to the surcharges for post from Poland to Iraq and Persia, transported by automobile in the area between Beirut and Baghdad.

§ 1. Przesyłki listowe do Iraku oraz do Persji z podaniem  drogi przewozu samochodami, kursujacemi miedzy Bajrutem a Bagdadem, należy kierować do urzędu wymiany Warszawa 1, który odprawia w poniedziałki i wtorki odsyłki listowe do urzędu wymiany w Bejrucie, zawierające również przesyłki do Iraku i Persji opatrzone napisem "via Beyrouth ― Bagdad" lub "voie Beyrouth - Bagdad" lub "par automobil Beyrouth ― Bagdad" i t. p. 

§ 1. Mail to Iraq as well as to Persia with delivery by automobile operating between Beirut and Baghdad, it is necessary to direct to the exchange office Warsaw 1, which dispatches Mondays and Tuesdays mail to the exchange office in Beirut, which also includes packages to Iraq and Persia bearing the phrase “via Beirut-Baghdad” or “by automobile Beirut-Baghdad” and so on.

§ 2. Urząd pocztowy Warszawa 1 winien sporządzać z tych przesyłek osobne wiązanki, oznaczając je w następujący sposób:

§ 3. Waga brutto ma być podana osobno za listy i kartki pocztowe i osobno za inne przesyłki listowe dla Iraku i Persji.

§ 4. Odpis wykazu wagi należy dołączyć od odbitki karty listowej dla Bejrutu pozostałej w urzędzie Warszawa

§ 5. Uchyla sie okólnik Nr. 9212'VII, z 13 listopada 1925 (Dz. Urz. Gen. Dyr. P. i .T. N. 49.  

§ 3. Gross weight should be charged individually for letters and postcards and individually for others packages for Iraq and Persia.

§ 4. A copy of the statement of weight should be attached to the duplicate mail label for   Beirut remaining in the Warsaw office.

§ 5. This overrides memorandum No. 9212 VII, 13th November 1925 (Official Journal of the General Directorate of Posts and Telegraphs No. 49).

    § 32. Irak, kol. 2, 3. droga, słowa: „linja samochodowa Beyrouth — Bagdad" zmienić na: „linja samochodowa Damaszek — Bagdad"; kol. 8, skreślić uwagę: „linją samochodową Beyrouth — Bagdad przewożone są, tylko paczki zwykłe"; końcowy ustęp ostatniej uwagi: „Par service special automobile Beyrouth — Bagdad", zmienić na: „Par service transdesertique Damas — Bagdad".

      § 32. Iraq, col. 2, 3. road, words: "Beyrouth - Baghdad car line" change to: "Damascus - Baghdad car line"; col. 8, delete the remark: "only parcels are transported on the Beyrouth - Baghdad line"; the final paragraph of the last remark: "Par service special automobile Beyrouth - Baghdad", change to: "Par service transdesertique Damas - Baghdad".
